Description: Nine blue-and-white Star of Chamblie Feathered Star blocks with center variations are set with pieced lattices that form 4" Evening Stars at the intersections. A Sawtooth Border finishes the outside edge.

FROM THE BACK OF THE PATTERN:
Many Feathered Star quilts are made in just two colors. Blue and white and red and white are traditional favorites. Deliciously scrappy, each block in this Star of Chamblie sampler quilt is made from a collection of light and dark blue prints from Marsha’s stash that she calls “everything blue.”

Marsha opens the door to creativity with this collection of feathered star blocks. Each Star of Chamblie block has a different center or a different arrangement of values. Choose from Marsha’s variations or design your own unique versions of the blocks.

You’ll be amazed at the precision of your piecing with Marsha’s easy and accurate techniques for making these stars. The patterns are written for rotary cutting and machine piecing. Templates are provided for checking purposes and for quilters who prefer more traditional techniques. As with all complex designs, these blocks require careful cutting and accurate piecing.

This pattern features two specialty rulers: the Feathered Star Ruler (for cutting eighths and sixteenths), and the Precision Trimmer 3 (for trimming points on 45 degree angle patches).
